The two Arias from Cantata TWV 1: 941, In gering und rauhen Schalen

Originally for soprano voice, alto recorder & continuo. The first aria is “In gering und rauhen Schalen”� and the second “Nicht uns, nein, nein, nur dir allein”. In the 1st aria it is recommended that the dotted-eighth-16th, etc., figures be assimilated to the prevailing triplet rhythm. Title & first aria mean “In small, coarse shells,” and the second aria's title, “Not us, no, no, only you alone.”
